Test Execution
Trying to get even standard test packages to work reliably can often be a frustrating process ! There are lots of elements to configure and things often don't go as plannedl. We have experienced testing consultants who can assist in resolving initial teething problems across a broad range of test execution environments.
If additional short-term test execution capacity is desired then we can provide staff on-site to assist with ramping up testing cycles.
We can also provide targeted training for many of the common test systems, typically one to one or for a small group of test engineers.
Formal Testing (Offsite Labs)
Planning test strategy and campaigns for visits to formal acceptance testing labs as required by some carriers and in general for interoperability testing at network maufacturers is another area where we can offer advice, consultancy and assistance. This could be at the planning stage and during actual visits.
Test Automation
One of the keys to a successful testing regime is to have a well-integrated automation infrastructure which can allow flexible selection of component test cases and test sets. A test case submission engine which controls the execution, returns the results and the necessary logs and a central database which stores everything so that progress reports and trends can be easily extracted as needed. We have experience of using commercial solutions such as Team City and Jenkins.
We can also offer advice on planning, tool selection and implementation of bespoke automation frameworks.
Test Execution Strategy
We also provide consultancy on overall test process strategy. We can work with clients to identify where testing can be extended or refocussed on areas which should reduce the escaped defect rate.
We have experience of a wide range of different processes and strategies acquired during our time working for BlackBerry and more recently for Anritsu.
